Why does this world wonder why things are getting so bad. Why are things so hard? Why do we have so
much trouble and turmoil? Why is crime skyrocketing? Why are abortions on the rise? Rape? Murder? Divorces? We
could go on forever.
The Bible tells us why things are getting so out of hand. We want to take this time to tell you about
and to maybe help you. Lets put an end to all this. We can do it with God on our side. He can do anything.
1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every
one that loveth is born of God, and Knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world,
that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our
sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
1 John 1:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that
we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works
were evil, and his brother's righteous.
13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother
abideth in death.
15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives
for the brethren.
17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion
from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
John 13:1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour
was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world,
he loved them unto the end.
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
What is love?
1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak
with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all
faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity,
it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall
cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man,
I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even
as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Do we really love one another? Love like Jesus has? That is what
the Bible tells us whe are supposed to have. What does it mean to have love like Jesus does?
Mark 12:30 And though love the Lord thy God with
all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love
thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast
said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the
understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than
all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things
that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh,
and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust
thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
2 John 5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though
I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
6 And this is love, that
we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk
in it.
1 Thessalonians 4:6 That no man go beyond and defraud
his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and
testified.
7 For God hath not called
us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
8 He therefore that despiseth,
despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
9 But as touching brotherly
love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
Do we just love other Christians?
We are supposed to love everyone, even our enemies.
Luke 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies,
do good to them which hate you,
28 Bless them that curse
you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
29 And unto him that
smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat
also.
31 And as ye would that
men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
32 For if ye love them
which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if ye do good
to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
34 And if ye lend to
them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
35 But love ye your enemies,
and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of
the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
36 Be ye therefore merciful,
as your Father also is merciful.
37 Judge not, and ye
shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
38 Give, and it shall
be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your
bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Matthew 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not
evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will
sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
41 And whosoever shall
compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42 Give to him that asketh
thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43 Ye have heard that
it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you,
Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully
use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the
children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth
rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them
which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your
brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect,
even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another:
for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false
witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying,
namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his
Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Ephsians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved
us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that
it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye
have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if ye do not forgive,
neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee,
Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
23 Therefore is the kingdom
of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
John 15:9 As the father hath loved me, so have I loved
you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments,
ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my father's commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have
I spoke unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment,
That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love
hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Matthew 26:39 And he went a little
farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father,
if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Luke 23:32 And there were also two
other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.
33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors,
one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not
what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him
save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,
37 And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.
38 And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING
OF THE JEWS.
39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having
said thus, he gave up the ghost.
47 Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
We are to love all people and forgive all people even unto death. Would you do
the same for Jesus that He did for you? Would you have love enough to die for Him? Even unto Jesus' death, He showed
the love of His father and it made one of the centurians come to Christ. If we would all show this type of love
the wolrd would be a lot better off. It's time to stop looking at everyone elses sin and get our own lives straight
with God. Let
he who is without sin, cast the first stone. It is time to stop judging others an clean
out our own closets first. God is the only one alloud to judge any of us. We need to gather around our fallen sister
and brothers and pick them up, not turn our back on them.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversatio be without covetousness;
and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THE.
God said He will never leave us nor forsake us. SO should we leave others and
forsake them? Or should we stay and help them find their way back to God?
A hurricane crosses the east coast tearing the roofs off homes in a city of
two million people. Hearing about it, you pick up the telephone to make a call. You could call the mayor or the
chief of poloce, but instead you try to reach an elderly woman whom few people know. Why do you call her? Why are
you concerned? She is your mother.
A tornado levels a small town in the midwest. You see the devastation on the
news. There is no way to call. You immediately pack your van with food and clothes and drive three hundred miles.
Late that night you enter what remains of the town, crossing downed telepgone wires. You pass emergency vehicles,
grieving for all those caught in the tragedy, but you continue looking for one location. The landmarks are gone.
It is raining. Then you find it: the remains of your brother's house.
What about the rest of the people that were in these tragedies? Why did you
not help them? Why did you pass them by? Why do we turn our backs on those who go to prison or live in a particular
area?
2 Timothy 1:8 Be not thou ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his
prisoner: but be though partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 Who hat saced
us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace,
which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing as our
Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life aand imortality to light through the gospel:
Hebrews 13:3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them
which suffer adversity, as beeing yourself also in the body.
Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men,
especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
